These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Camlink mobile application, web platform, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
1. Description of Service
Camlink provides AI-powered trail camera management, including image synchronization from third-party camera vendors, cloud storage, species detection, BuckID tracking, GPS mapping, and analytics. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Services at any time without prior notice.
2. User Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental consent.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information. Failure to do so may result in account termination.
- Accounts are non-transferable. You may not share your account with others or allow multiple users to access a single account.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial trail camera management. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from our platform without explicit permission.
- Resell, redistribute, or provide unauthorized access to your account or the Services.
- Use the Services to violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
- Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at checkout.
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Camlink does not store your credit card information.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing cycle. Cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period.
- Except where required by law, all fees are non-refundable. We may offer prorated credits at our sole discretion.
- Free-tier accounts are subject to usage limits that may change at any time.
5. Third-Party Camera Credentials
To sync images, you may provide credentials for third-party camera vendor accounts. By doing so, you confirm that you have the legal right to share those credentials. Camlink uses them solely to authenticate and retrieve your images. You remain fully responsible for any activity on those third-party accounts.
6. AI Processing & Accuracy
- Camlink uses AI to automatically detect and tag species in your images. AI tagging is for convenience only.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI detections. Do not rely on AI tags for hunting decisions, wildlife research, or critical applications without manual verification.
- Your images are processed server-side for tagging purposes only. They are not used to retrain or fine-tune our AI models.
7. Intellectual Property
- Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to your trail camera images, BuckID profiles, and metadata. By uploading content, you grant Camlink a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your data solely to provide the Services.
- Camlink Content: The platform, software, AI models, branding, and interface are owned by Camlink and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.
8. Termination
- You may delete your account and cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Services.
- Upon termination, your access to the Services will cease and your data will be deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Camlink does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Services.
- Camlink shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost images, or loss of hunting opportunities.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Camlink is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located within our jurisdiction.
